SEND Advice Surrey provides information, advice and support to parents, carers, children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) aged 0 to 25 years.
The session will cover an overview of the support on offer on topics relevant to SEND parents such as:
*your rights and responsibilities, who to talk to in school about your concerns,
*How your child is assessed and helped in school,
*What happens during an education, health and care (EHC) assessment,
*what happens during a statutory assessment,
*what you can do if you are not happy with a decision made about your child’s SEND,
*mediation,
*Surrey policies and processes and national policies and legislation.
