Feeling good week is an event to promote emotional well-being for children and young people  in Hertfordshire

Feeling good week is a Hertfordshire-wide week-long event that encourages schools and the wider community to promote children and young people’s emotional well-being. This is done by raising awareness of mental health and showing where and how support can be accessed within the community.

Feeling good week runs from 11th – 17th February 2019. You can help improve the emotional wellbeing for children and make children and young people in Hertfordshire feel good. Healthy Young Minds Herts would like you to run your own special projects to boost their emotional and mental wellbeing.

£500 of funding has been put forward by Hertfordshire County Council, and the county’s two Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs). Youth organisations, schools, and young people are invited to submit a bid and apply for the funding.  The bids are reviewed by a group of young people, and they will judge which projects should receive funding.

It can be all too easy for some people to get caught in a little bubble of screen time and social media, for this reason, the panel would really love to see lots of ideas that promote alternative ways of interacting with one another and having fun offline an increasing everyones mental and emotional wellbeing.

Those interested can apply for the funding via the application form and submit your ideas, to show our panel what you could do with £500 to promote Feeling Good Week in Hertfordshire and help the community in this worthwhile endeavour.

The deadline for applications is Friday 7th December 2018.

Please email your entries to CAMHS.commissioning@hertfordshire.gov.uk
