Kentish Town City Farm was the first city farm established in the UK in 1972.
Kentish Town City Farm is a local charity. It helps people that live in the city and may find it hard to travel to a country farm to connect with animals, nature and the environment. The farm is situated on a four-acre site, alongside two railway lines in the inner London Borough of Camden.
At the farm, there are animal pasture areas, lovely community gardens, a gorgeous wildlife pond, and a riding arena. You’re certain to have a fantastic time if you come for a visit.
The farm has an extensive educational programme for schools, There’s therapeutic riding for people with special needs SEND. Work experience opportunities for students and farm-related activities for the local children and their families. This work at Kentish Town city farm is supported by the London Borough of Camden and the City of London Corporation’s charity City Bridge Trust.
The farm has a core of volunteers. They support staff in the day-to-day running of the farm and help organise regular fundraising events at the farm. Young people between 8 -16 years old support farm activities via our extremely popular Young Farmers Club.
