There are lots of things to do with the kids at Telford Town Park. It’s a great open space for all ages to enjoy!
You could easily spend a whole day out at the park.
Your kids will really have a fantastic day at the park here are the things they can enjoy:
Climb through the Town Park woodland on ropes with Sky Reach.
Sink a few holes on the Adventure golf course.
If you don’t like that you could test your throwing skills with a frisbee in Disc Golf.
Then your kids can spend some time in the many play areas. There’s the Toddler area/ Sandpit, The Spiders web/ Space net, A splash park and The Rocket Slide.
Teens haven’t been forgotten either. Close to the Visitor Centre is the Teenage activity area. This area holds two multi-use games spaces for 5 aside football, basketball or tennis. These courts are free to use for the general public. Footballs and basketballs are available for hire from the Visitor Centre.
The park has been designed with less abled children and young people in mind, the all-inclusive playground provides equipment for all abilities. There is a wheelchair accessible climbing frame, revolva roundabout, home seesaw, and nest swing.
A level and colourful wet pore surface make it accessible for all types of wheelchairs.
Play areas opening times:
Midseason (March, April and September) 11am – 4pm
High season (May – August) 11am – 5pm

Telford Town Park has been host to many events over the years – Check our website for the next events.
Feeling peckish, feel free to bring a picnic or pick up a snack and drinks from the Place in the Park food kiosk. Opening times (March to October):
Weekends 10 am – 5 pm
School Holidays 10 am – 6 pm.
There are many picnic benches located around the park and several picnic areas.
During the summer months, there is an ice-cream van near the multi-use game area. Also, there are vending machines inside the visitor centre reception.
There are also two gardens to take a wander around or if you want something a bit more energetic you can cycle around the 14 miles of cycling pathways.
The visitor centre is a meeting point for lost children, if you do happen to misplace yours then please speak to a member of staff who will be able to seek assistance for you.
The Centre also has a number of First Aid qualified staff members.
There are two main car parks you could park at for your kids day out:
The closest is the Southwater Multi-Storey Car Park which is open 24 hours a day.
Dark Lane Car Park is located within the town park and it is open from 7 am to 8 pm (April to October) and 9 am to 6 pm (November to March). You can use the postcode TF3 4HD to find this car park.
